Bombers lies within an area designated as an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". The local countryside is traversed by numerous footpaths and trails which are open to the public, many of which offer spectacular views either to the South over open country, or to the North over the City of London. The network of local lanes offers some wonderful cycle rides (as well as off road trails for mountain bikes), but be prepared for a few hills.

Access Statement for The Barn at Bombers

The following statement is intended to assist persons with mobility impairment who might be considering a visit to The Barn.

The Barn at Bombers is in a rural location which is very poorly served by public transport. A car is therefore essential.

Since the accommodation has been constructed within the shell of a very old barn, it has not been possible to have all the facilities on the same level.

The main bedroom, two bathrooms and a lounge are on the ground floor, whereas the two smaller twin bedrooms, the kitchen and a lounge/dining room are on the first floor. There are some small internal steps on both floors.

The ground and first floor are connected by a spiral staircase. A gate can be provided to prevent small children having access to the staircase from the first floor.

Unfortunately The Barn cannot be considered suitable for those requiring wheelchair access or for anybody with a significant mobility impairment. However, anybody who can manage a normal flight of stairs should have no difficulty.

There is parking for several vehicles in the courtyard immediately in front of the Barn.
